I have read a total of 15 books this month, and 1 novella. As you have noticed, I have stopped writing reviews, and although it is hard, I just don't have the time or energy to write them. So I will tell you what I have read lately. My reading resolutions? Out of the window as well.
I have absolutely been glomming Eileen Wilks' Lupi series. I love it to pieces, I have read 6 books in the past few weeks. Only one more to go, sadly, though the new one has been pre-ordered. Highly original and suspenseful.
I have also read some more cowboy books by Carolyn Brown. Filled with humor and strong heroines and hard and hot cowboys. Love them, and sadly, I have no more on my TBR for the moment, but I have requested some for my birthday next August.
J.R. Ward - The King. Liked it, but certainly did not love it as the early books.
Christina Henry - Black Lament: I will keep reading this series, as I do enjoy it a lot. It keeps surprising me and Maddy is a feisty/stubborn heroine.
July Hyzy - Graces takes off. A lovely cozy mystery series, but the plot was obvious.
Darynda Jones - The dirt on ninth grave. Great book, want the next one!
Barbara Taylor Bradford - Holding the dream. The second Emma Harte book, and I do long for a re-read of the first one. Perhaps my birthday present for my self this year, the rest of the series.
Christine Feehan - Spider Game. Too much sex, too much dominance, not enough plot or story. And I used to love this series so much!
Hamilton Crane - A few more Miss Seeton stories, still going strong!

I am still happy about you liking Brown :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh totally get the burn out of writing reviews. SO get that. LOL At least you read quite a bit and hopefully had fun doing that. Great July list!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBrotherhood in Death is already in PB. I have to buy that one!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI can relate to not have the drive to make reviews. I find the short ones a good way to let us know what you've read and what you recommend.
PS
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDon't worry about those Carolyn Brown books... ;-)
