Blogging update

I am not going to be able to blog for a few more days. I am very busy at home with some remodelling and organizing, so I just have no time or energy to write some new reviews to post. Choosing new stuff for the house is not something I like doing, I especially hate shopping and I do foresee a trip to Ikea in my immediate future. This is the shop I usually have to be bribed for to enter, but I fear I have to this time. So wish me luck and success.

I have also been away with my boyfriend for a few days this past week, and although the weather was cold and wet, we enjoyed it a lot. We went to Saarbrucken, Germany, a town close to the borders of France and Luxembourg, and the scenery there is just gorgeous, even in the rain. Food was delicious and we just toured and toured and went sightseeing when it was dry.
I alsmost felt like an American tourist from the movies, when we visited 5 countries in one day on our journey back: France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and of course my own Holland. Which is just flat and boring compared to the lovely mountains we visited.

I did read some good ones while on vacation though, and hope to be back in a week or so with a new post.

I wish you all a good time reading great books, and I look forward to interacting with all of you soon again.

    1. O Bridget, the bathroom is the next big ticket item on my list. For now, new windows and stuff, and curtains, pff.

  4. Good luck with the decorating and trips to IKEA. Make sure not to go on Wednesday, because then it's 'Woonsdag' at IKEA and very, very crowded.

    1. Thanks Melliane! We actually did go into France twice, the second time was accidentally, suddenly we were just there, but it was gorgeous. Planters with flowers along the streets, and all the houses had such beautiful gardens. Very very lovely.

  8. I'm so jealous about your trip, that sounds like so much fun!

I do like decorating and organizing my house, but I hear you that it can be a daunting task sometimes. If you're not a fan of Ikea but find it to be a necessary evil I'd recommend shopping their website first and then if you go straight to the warehouse with a printout of what you want they find it right for you and pull it off the shelves so you don't have to hunt around for what you're looking for. Saves a ton of time! :)

    1. The trip was really nice Sarah, but the trip to Ikea not. Here in Holland you have to collect your own stuff, or pay 25 euro's to have it done. And as I of course bought the tallest wardrobe they have, that was a crime. It was even more difficult to get it up my narrow stairs, which has two corners. The thing was heavy, and 2.35 meters tall. Lucky, the neighbours adult son helped out.
But when that thing is put together, it will never ever be moved again!

    2. haha We had a wardrobe like that. It was so huge and when we bought it my husband's like "never moving it again so don't even think about wanting it somewhere else". lol I think he really despised me when I decided to sell it and hence move once more. :-P
