When I was asked if I wanted to be a part of the Universal Alien blog tour, I immediately said yes. I love this series, and I love the genius that is Gini Koch. I had to choose a topic, and as this is the tenth book in the series, it would be a Top Ten list. And so I asked Gini about her favourite secondary characters. I know I have mine! And reading this list, the guestpost that Gini created for my blog, we sure share a lot of the same favourites. But I would have added her real uncle and her two assassin uncles here. For the live of me, I can’t remember who Benjamin Siler is, as Gini’s books have so many characters in them. And Vance, nope, can’t like him even though he seems to be a good guy after all. And Mephistopheles, well, he does have a surprising appearance in this book...
So, if you have read this series, tell me who are some of your favourites? Do you agree with Gini's list?
Gini Koch’s Top 10 Alien/Katherine “Kitty” Katt Fave Supporting Characters
I love all my characters, even the villains, but I do have my favorites. In fact, I have a lot of them, so just choosing ten is tough, and heaven knows I’ll hear a lot of whining from those who don’t make this particular cut, but, as of today, here’s who tugs at my authorly heartstrings the most.
10. The Flyboys (heh, yeah, this is how I get several faves in as only one selection)
9. Benjamin Siler
8. Vance Beaumont
7. Mr. Joel Oliver
6. Olga Dalca
5. Mephistopheles
4. Pierre
3. Malcolm Buchanan
2. James Reader
1. Charles “Chuckie” Reynolds
Blurb:
Being the wife of the Vice President isn’t easy. Especially when your talents lie in kicking butt and rocking out…
Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini find out just how easy it is for the wife of the Vice President of the United States to unintentionally insult an ally. Now they have to smooth things over with the Australian Prime Minister, pronto, or risk creating an international incident the worldwide anti-alien coalitions will be able to use to force Jeff to resign and the A-Cs to leave the planet.
But before Kitty can make things worse, a cosmic congruence and a little help from some powerful beings shoves her into another world -- one where she’s been married to Charles Reynolds for years and aliens don’t exist. She’s also landed in the middle of a huge conspiracy and is marked for death…but at least that’s business as usual.
Kitty’s not the only one confused, because the Kitty from that world has taken her place in this one. Now Alpha Team and the Diplomatic Corps have to make sure that no one spots that there’s been a switch, while keeping World War III from happening. And they have to do so while keeping this new Kitty in line, because she has views about what to do and how to it, and time is running out.
Can both Kittys save their respective days before it’s too late to go home to the universes they belong to? Or will one Kitty decide to keep the other’s life…forever?

Yeah for Team Chuckie!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHaving read UNIVERSAL ALIEN already, I'm worried about Chuckie's mindset going into ALIEN SEPARATION (May 2015) bookwormpov (at) gmail (dot) com

I can't wait to read this book. My current reading binge only makes me love Kitty more. I would really love to get an AC for my own. Barring that, a signed book would be nice too. I have all of them, so the first one would be great, so I can give my own to a friend who I’ll think will like it. I’m slowly turning her into a romance lover.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think Chuckie should be removed from this list and in turn the AC elves should be on nr 1!

Oh NICE! I so need to collect these books so I can read one after another! books (dot) things (at) yahoo (dot) com
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThere are so many great characters in this series that it's pretty impossible to choose just 10 favourites. I think Gini has included most of mine already but I'd have to add in the Poofs & Peregrines because they're so much fun. I also think ACE deserves a special mention along with the AC Elves :o)

Oh and I forgot to say that I'm drawing a complete blank when it comes to Benjamin Siler too! I'm going to have to start skim reading the series again trying to find him now LOL
BeantwoordenVerwijderenChuckie is my favorite. But I think ACE is missing. Or maybe he is considered a main character instead of a supporting character.

I have to wonder if any of my beloved supporting characters were supposed to be one shot appearances. I love Mr. Joel Oliver, he and Malcolm are like Transformers - there's more than meets the eye. I would love to have Reader and Pierre in my life. leethas at aol dot com
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI love this series! I'm a few books behind b/c I'm hoarding my Kitty kat and Jeff time :) Thanks for sharing!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenPoofs, Malcolm, AC elves, (ugh my mind just drew blank on names but the 2 footballers that became agent drivers), and of course the flyboys, and the doc. Love this series jealous of people already read and can't wait for my pre-order to get here.
