I love Cal Blaire. He thought me about Wicca. He helped me find out who I am.
But now we share a secret. A terrible, dark secret that binds us together, even as it tears us apart.
I don't know Cal anymore. I don't even know myself. And I don't know who or what to trust… except my magick.

Life is not getting easier for Morgan. Sometimes, there is something off about Cal. And his mother, Selene Belltower, is certainly not happy that she can't see Maeve's tools, that Morgan has bound them to her already. Why does she want Morgan to meet those strangers? And why is Cal so insistent about it? He finally confesses that he and his mother are Woodbanes as well, but not the good kind like Belwicket was.

But the good news is, Hunter is alive! Skye, his cousin, did find him in time after Morgan send her a witch message.
Also, Bree and Robbie are kind of involved romantically, even though Bree doesn't want to hear anything about love. Yes, she has commitment issues.

Another great episode in Morgan's lifestory. Lots of suspense, especially the ending. If you like a very well written YA series involving magic, and especially characters who really do grow, but are still acting as they should, you want to read this series.

9 stars.
